ABOUT
Kay Woods is the author of fiction (The Whirling Room, Ringlands, Ravenous Cavernous), and non-fiction (How to Build a Pallet and Plastic Bottle Greenhouse, Surviving the Cuts, and Other Disasters).
In a previous life, she has been a Private Investigator and Process Server, a journalist, book shop owner and eco-entrepreneur.
Since 2012, Kay has been an annual participant of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) and has won, i.e. written 50k words in 30 days, every year, resulting in both a growing sense of pride, and a pile of draft novels awaiting edits!
Kay has produced films for the East Anglian Film Archive (DARK DAY, Destination: EARTH, Dear Stranger); and entered her film Parallels into the Ryuichi Sakamoto 'async' International Short Film Competition. In 2018, Destination: EARTH was a competition finalist in the over 18 category.
Dear Stranger was entered into the 2019 EAFA competition. This time, Kay wrote and directed the film on location in Cromer, North Norfolk.
